I Had A Baby

Oh my F*ck, right?!

I did it, guys. I gave life. I didn’t get to push her out; had to have a c-section. The recovery from that is no joke. But I have a beautiful baby girl who laughs, makes funny faces, and sneezes in my face.

I went through some emotional stuff in that hospital. I couldn’t have made up the experience. I’ll have to write about it some other time [I have to pump some milk then taking a walk with Amora!]. Bottom line: everyone’s birth experience is different and has meaning. It took me a long time to accept having a c-section. I labored for 3 days before having her. Then afterwards, the mental roller-coaster of postpartum was insane. Your hormones try to figure themselves out while you try to figure out how to take care of this small human being.

WTF, mother nature…wtf…

Like I said, it was a roller-coaster. It’s still a bit of a ride, even today. But it’s a lot more enjoyable rather than the “omg I’m going to pee, shit, and vomit all at the same time” type of feeling. I am unbelievably happy and so in love with both my daughter and fiancee. I had no idea I could love him more, but seeing him be a dad is something I was not emotionally ready for. That shit is amazing. He is literally, figuratively, unimaginably perfect. He may not be able to tell in between my comments about how he’s supposed to adjust her diaper or do something a certain way, but he’s honestly amazing. I’m just a bitch bit aggressive.

Check out my little goon.

My First Coupon Trip

So I’ll make this one a little short, because I have some business to tend to [laying on the couch watching tv and eating popsicles].

Yesterday was my first coupon trip to CVS and Walgreens! I had been wanting to get some use out of coupons for a while, and I finally did it! It wasn’t anything crazy, but I saved a good chunk of dough and got products Johnny and I would actually use.

coupon-haul-1

From Walgreens (bottom)
3 pantene shampoo/conditioner
1 vaseline lotion
1 dawn dish soap
1 crest toothpaste
1 pack qtips (not on sale just needed them lol)
3 mens dove body wash
7 head and shoulders
6 boxes of kleenex
=$38
From CVS (top)
2 all detergents
1 soft soap
2 boxes honey bunches
1 crest toothpaste
1 colgate toothpaste
3 pantene shampoo/conditioner
1 box of Puffs
Total= $15
All of the coupons I used were from the Sunday newspaper and digital coupons clipped to my Walgreens card (have to do 2 transactions, 1 for the digital coupons and one for the identical paper coupon). That way, you can use more! It was a lot of work, but I am very very satisfied. Johnny didn’t hear the end of it last night, lol. Now I’ve got to make my mom and sister their little packets so they can get the same deals. Next feat, grocery coupons!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, readers!

Still no baby, yet. She is truly playing with our emotions! One day, she will feel super low and about to fall out. The next day, I don’t even feel pregnant anymore! I guess she is low key teaching me patience. Lord knows I could use some.

Stay safe in whatever you do today. Start those new year resolutions, and don’t give up on them! If you just got a gym membership, pay for a year’s worth of membership so you feel obligated to get your money’s worth. If you started reading the Bible more, get a friend who already has a good habit to read it with you and have them hassle you to keep you on track. Use your technology and tell your phone to remind you every day of what your resolutions are. Do whatever you can to safeguard them and complete them. You will feel so amazing come the end of the year and you reached your goals. Accomplishing goals is really a high. Good luck.
